2.3 EcoBoost engine Cutaways

Photos from the Detroit show give us an introspective look at the guts of the new Ecoboost S550.

Ti-VCT (twin independent cam timing) will advance or retard valve timing as needed, either manufacture more power where needed or maximize efficiency. Please use HIGH quality oil and filters or else you're going to gum up the phasers, this is the majority off issues seen with the 3.5 EcoBoost in F150.

A dual stream of exhaust inputs feeds the first ever Ford Twin Scroll Turbo. Double streams prevent turbo lag at the bottom end of the rev band. Better than an Anti-Lag System

Always love seeing these cutaways.
Next thing we need to see, hopefully at chicago, is a working cutaway.

I'm sure if you turned the crank you'd be able to see all the pieces moving. There know way to have combustion and cutaways.

You do know they have working cutaways that just show parts of the engine working, clearly they cant build combustion lol

I dont consider pieces moving to be working. engines were designed for combustion, if its not combusting its not working...

Why does it have to be functioning? Its just for show anyways

Not like it proves anything

Just use your imagination and pretend its moving :P
