Hood Underside Insulation Damage
Hey guys, I just picked up my used 2015 GT premium. The car only has 10,000 miles on it, but I do have a concern. When I lift the hood, there seems to be damage (corrosive or burnt in nature) to the insulation under the hood. the damage is located directly above where an aftermarket oil catch can would go (I'm still not too sure what the stock line does). Is this normal from heat in the engine? Has anyone else experienced this? Everything in the engine bay itself looks clean; I don't see any signs of damage around the area in question, just directly above on the hood. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!
