Some hope for Ecoboost

I've been reading a lot of problems about Ford's Ecoboost technology that made me a bit worried. But today I got some good news. The 1.0l Ecoboost is getting some accolades by being awarded the International Engine of the Year for a second year in a row. It has an engine power output of 123 horsepower between 1,400 and 4,500 rpm, and148 pound-feet of torque from 1,400 to 4,000 rpm in its very compact size. This engine can be found in the European Fiesta, B-Max, Focus, C-Max with many more vehicles to come.

There is a law suit up at the moment involving the ecoboost engine issues where there has been reports of ford's ecoboost engine stalling and having acceleration issues. On other forums ecoboost owners have been talking about the engine bogging and turbo fialing in the engines.

I don't think too many people would be suffering in the mustang world since the four cylinder is just an option.

Did we forget about about the horrifying recall that Ford had with the Fusion and the Ford Escape. where the engines were catching on fire dues to coolant and fuel leaks. Those were actually 1.6L ecoboost engines.
