Ford Mustang Returns to Australia in 2016

Perhaps as a consolation for shutting down its Australian operations in 2016, Ford will bring its iconic Mustang back to the Australian market the same year.

Australian automotive enthusiasts are losing the Falcon sports car, but will see the return of the Mustang model on its shores for the first time in nearly 50 years. In a way, itís the American automakerís attempt to reassure Australians that itíll continue to sell vehicles in the market despite closing down its operations.

The Mustang that Australia will receive wonít be identical to the model sold in North America, but rather the variant thatís being designed for global sales and will be right-hand drive. It is being reported that Ford Australia will only be receiving V8-powered Mustangs.

I agree, it doesn't. If Ford actually does sell the Mustang in the Aussie market it will be a big gamble for them. They might be better off on making it on a made-to-order process to cut their losses.
