Ford has confirmed that it will continue the Cobra Jet program into the sixth-generation Mustang. It is unclear if Ford will use the new S550 platform, which ditched the classic live rear axle for an independent rear suspension. The 2015 Cobra Jet could use a Taurus platform or even a rear-wheel drive configuration of the all-wheel drive Fusion.
Regardless, here is the first rendering of what the 2015 Cobra Jet could look like.
I'm more curious to know what is going to be under the hood of the new Cobra jet. Are they going to be using the same engine as the previous version or are they switching engines to make this thing even more powerful?
