V6 vs V8 2015 Mustang?

It's safe to assume the new Mustang will come in either a V6 or V8 versions. What do you guys plan to get and why?

Another thread on here speculates there will be a V6 and V8.

There's no info out about the V6, the other thread on here states that the 2015 Mustang V6 engine will be based off of the 5th generation 3.7 V6.

Yes there will for sure be a V8 and V6. Which exact ones at what specs we aren't 100% sure yet.

There is also a 2.0L 4 cylinder that is apparently being offered. A first for the Mustang

a 2.0 might not be good enough, they'll need to get into the bigger 4 cylinder engine displacement range, going up to 2.4 or even 2.5. If the 4 cylinder is going to replace a V6, be reliable and pack enough power, that's where it should be, along with a turbo

there will always be v6 and v8 mustangs no matter what. The v8 will always be the desire of a mustang owner or potential ones. They are known for that but as times change you can just see now implementing a four cyling in the works. For a mustang? the crowd is gonna go nuts.

This is going to stir up a storm if this is true for the four cylinder. A mustang with that kind of displacement is unheard of. Since when do people turn to a ford mustang for a econo box. I hate this idea. Next thing you know these will be on the road riding around like they have a v6 or v8 in it.

Personally I dont care if they make a 4 cylinder mustang. GO ahead. I'm not going to buy it and I will smile at those who do because they should have bought another car.

How can you say you own a Mustang but secretly have a 4 cylinder model? It's almost embarrassing if you think about it. I wouldn't be caught dead in one. Maybe if it was a rental. And only once...

Any true Mustang gear head knows there will be a V6 and V8.

Proof? How about some common sense? Not offering either engine will be suicide for Ford.

exactly, the mustang platform would just be retarded without it. V6 and V8 engines in the mustang are what make it a mustang, everything else like a 4 cylinder is just for people that want a car thats all show and no go. and I feel like the current basemodel V6 mustang owners just care for that...show.

I'm starting to think the 4 cylinder is meant to appeal more to the more environmentally conscious consumer. Which isn't a bad thing. But Mustangs are heavy cars and the 4 cylinder will struggle to move that weight until the RPMs and speed start to get up there.
