You can never satisify a mustang owner though, they will always find something to complain about. But still... why the **** a four banger in the new mustang...****. I know i know, its an option only lol.

This is a true statement!

I am starting to feel out what Ford is trying to do with this four cylinder option. It will take some time for me to actually consider it but at least its not mainstream and just sold as an option. So I don't think it will over sell the v6 and v8 models.

I just read that the 4 cylinder will only be available in Europe. This makes sense since Europe has stricter emissions testing.

Instead of a 2.3 liter engine it might be a 2.5 instead, not sure if there's an existing 2.5 ecoboost they will use or build off of for the mustang but I think a 2.5 4 cylinder is more like it. check out the info on it here: https://www.mustangs550forum.com/foru...gine-plan.html

This will be a start if they ever do end up getting a mustang in Europe. Right now they only have hatchbacks with less than 250hp. It would be a huge adjustment for them to have such power even from the four cylinder.

I didn't see that in the Mustang engine plans. It could be possible, think about it the more displacement for the four cylinder the more torque range it would achieve.
